Canada Transit Visa
If you are scheduled to embark the Disney Wonder in Vancouver, you may be required to secure a Canadian transit visa based on your country of citizenship as indicated by your passport.
Disney Cruise Line will reimburse you for the visa processing fee. You will need to keep the original receipt from the Embassy/Consulate and request reimbursement once you embark.
The Canadian visa application website is located at http://www.cic.gc.ca/english/information/applications/visa.asp. Please note there are helpful instructions at the bottom of the website to assist you in filling out the Canadian Visa paperwork. Some of the information may not be applicable to your particular situation so please don’t feel like you must complete every form, e.g., family information and statutory declaration of common-law union.
In addition to the completed Schedule 1 - Application for a Temporary Resident Visa Made Outside of Canada (form IMM 5257 - Schedule 1), you will need the following to secure your Canadian visa:
- Passport valid at least until March, 2025 with photocopy of bio page
- 2 passport photos
- Copy of your DCL contract
- Letter from DCL to the Consulate
- Processing fee
If applicable, you may need the following forms as well:
- Family Information (form IMM5707)
- Statutory Declaration of Common-law Union (form IMM5409)
- Use of Representative (form IMM 5476)
- Authority to Release Personal Information to a Designated Individual (form IMM5475)
Crew from the following countries MUST seek assistance from the Procurement Ally through which they applied to Disney Cruise Line previously: India, Indonesia, Philippines, or Nepal. All other crew must contact the Canadian Embassy or Consulate directly for a visa appointment.
If you have questions about your visa application, please contact the Immigration Compliance team via email at DCL.Immigration.Compliance@disney.com.
It is critical that you contact the appropriate Embassy/Consulate or your Procurement Ally as soon as you get home. Processing times will vary from country to country.
Once you have received your visa, please upload it to the DCL Document Upload tool.
Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA)
Based on your country of citizenship, you may instead require an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) before traveling to Canada. When an eTA is issued, it is electronically linked to your passport and allows you to enter Canada for short stays.
The application is done online; for more information, please visit https://www.canada.ca/en/immigration-refugees-citizenship/services/visit-canada/eta.html.
Once you have received confirmation of ETA approval, please upload it to the DCL Document Upload tool.
