Based on your country of citizenship as indicated by your passport, you may be required to secure a Schengen visa to embark in Barcelona, Civitavecchia, Papenburg, or Eemshaven. If you are currently onboard, the Crew Office will assist you with beginning your visa application and securing your appointment before you debark. To secure the Schengen Visa, you will need to complete the application form and submit it with the following documents to the appropriate embassy/consulate or its affiliate in your home country. You must lodge your application for a Schengen visa at the consulate of the country you intend to visit. For example, if you are embarking in Barcelona, you will need to obtain the visa through the Spanish embassy or consulate. If you are embarking in Civitavecchia, you will need to obtain the visa through the Italian embassy or consulate.
You will need to keep the original receipt from the embassy or consulate and request reimbursement when you return. Disney Cruise Line will reimburse you for the visa processing fee only.
In addition to the completed application form, you will need to submit the following to secure your Schengen visa:
- Passport valid at least until January 2025
- 2 passport photos
- Flight Itinerary
- Ship Itinerary
- Copy of your DCL contract
- Support Letter from DCL to the Embassy or Consulate
- Proof of Insurance Letter
- Processing fee

Once debarked, crew from the following countries can seek additional assistance from the Procurement Ally through which they applied to Disney Cruise Line previously: India, Indonesia, Philippines, or Nepal. All other crew must contact the Embassy or Consulate directly for a visa appointment questions. Please ensure that your visa appointment is scheduled as early as possible, preferably as soon as you get home, as processing times will vary from country to country.
