During your travels at the start of or end of an assignment, you may experience a layover between flights. Please review your itinerary carefully to determine if a hotel has already been booked for you or if you are eligible for reimbursement if you book one on your own. Below is helpful information to support you during your time in transit, including meal or lounge reimbursement guidelines and shuttle information for select locations.
Long Layovers & Hotel Stays
If your flight itinerary includes a layover of 8 hours or more, you may choose to book a hotel or day-use room. (Please know, this does not include wait time at the airport prior to your initial repatriation flight at the end of a contract.)
The amount eligible for reimbursement varies by location. Please refer to your travel itinerary for specific guidance, or contact us if you have questions.
Be sure to set an alarm and allow enough time to return to the airport for your next flight.
Meal or Lounge Reimbursement
If your layover is 6 hours or more, you are eligible for reimbursement of up to $40 USD for meals or snacks.
This allowance may instead be used for airport lounge access: crew may visit any global airport lounge with pay-per-use access and submit for reimbursement, up to $40.00 USD. Crew Members are responsible for any cost difference if the lounge entry fee exceeds $40 USD.
DCL will partner with select brands for discounted rates and priority reservations.
Plaza Premium Lounges offer an exclusive 30% global discount for DCL Crew Members.
Passes may be purchased directly through the co‑branded dedicated site for airport lounge access: https://www.plazapremiumlounge.com/en-uk/discover/partner-offers/disneycruiseline
